人生似夢，還是夢如人生？男子夢到交通意外，夢醒後不自覺地走到夢中出現的案發現場，疑似涉案的神秘女子近在眼前，不知情的女子對於意外毫無頭緒，只記得自己在意外發生時早已入夢。男子的夢，竟成了女子的真實經歷。擅長刻劃孤獨及隔離狀態的韓國怪導金基德，今回由自己現實生活中的一次夢境出發，探討夢與真實的關係，透過《東京鐵塔》型男小田切讓及韓國氣質女星李娜英的奇情邂逅，探索莊周夢蝶的虛幻迷離境界。

Maverick director Kim Ki-duk continues to employ his idiosyncratic art-house formula, proven auspicious in his earlier works 3 IRON, SAMARITAN GIRL and BREATH(4th HKAFF). Invited to compete at the 56th San Sebastian International Film Festival, DREAM takes place in the ambiguous realm where dreams and reality intertwine. Odagiri Joe portrays a lovelorn man whose dreams are hauntingly played out in real life by a sleepwalking woman (Lee Na-young). As events oscillate profusely between the two states of consciousness, the two characters somehow find a way to connect to each other’s heartbeats.
