Prison visitors may not be criminals. Léa Fehner’s first feature helps us hear the “Silent Voices” between freedom and incarceration. Destiny has weaved three distinctly different life trajectories in the “inbetween” space of the prison visiting room. 16-yearold Laure (Pauline Étienne) falls in love with the bad boy Alexandre (Vincent Rottiers). When Alexandre is imprisoned after assaulting the police, Laure needs to be accompanied by an adult so as to visit him. The poor delivery man Stephane (Reda Kateb) encounters the sharp-suited Pierre (Marc Barbé), who offers him a large amount of money to switch place with a lookalike inmate. Zorah (Farida Rahouadj), an old woman from Algeria, wants to talk to the murderer who has stabbed her son to death. Visiting hours only last 30 minutes. Time flies fast.
