杜魯福「安坦但奴」五部曲的第三章，也是最浪漫但亦最無奈的一篇。昔日逃學反叛《四百擊》的小男孩安坦，在《安坦與歌麗》歷經了初戀的陣痛之後，今回長大成人當兵入伍，但盲打誤撞之下又突然退役，重投社會卻一無是處，最終打工撞板失業收場。安坦偏偏心猿意馬，遇上舊愛新歡與夢中情人，經歷意想不到的二十出頭。杜魯福繼續借安坦講男人心事，風格輕巧活潑而不乏法式浪漫，滲出成長期的點滴無奈。

Given a dishonorable discharge from the army, Antoine returns to Paris. Failing to secure a job his girlfriend's father gets him, Antoine stumbles into a position as an apprentice in a private detective agency, giving him the chance to peep into the world of secrets and seductions. STOLEN KISSES provides ample evidence of Francois Truffaut's belief that men know nothing about love. This amusing and entertaining film is a valentine to love and the varied emotions it can arouse. The last scene is an example of sheer poetry.

CITY LIGHTS was the first film Chaplin made during the sound era. Insistent in his refusal to make it a talkie, Chaplin reckoned that dialogue would destroy the simple appeal of the Tramp, who falls hopelessly in love with a blind girl and tries to find the money to pay for her surgery. The film proved Chaplin's artistry in his story-telling techniques, his command of body and facial movements as a form of expression, independent of sound. The scene where the Tramp meets the girl, now with her sight restored, is one of the most moving scenes in cinema.

For those enchanted by BEFORE SUNRISE, nine years is a wait too long. Jesse and Celine finally meet again, this time in Paris. Unlike in Vienna where they had a whole night, Paris only gives them a couple of hours. Their talk has more urgency; the immortal vitality of youth has worn off a bit and they know now that every moment counts. BEFORE SUNSET gets better and better as Linklater and his characters reveal more and more, perhaps feeling more and more desperate as the time to depart approaches.
