Obsessed with loneliness, her main hobby is spying on other lonely, anti-social introverts, whom she calls "solitarians." Her latest solitarian target: An old man (Sasano Takashi) who spends his time at home watching pornography. Nami grows progressively obsessed with the old man, and she soon crosses the line from peeping tom to kidnapper. Dealing with issues like religion, isolation, fetishes and even Japan's aging society, the latest film from Brazil-born Eiji Uchida is a wild genre mishmash that will make you laugh and keep you at the edge of your seats. |
