演而優則導的齋藤工，憑執導短片《半分的世界》獲艾美獎提名後，以「齊藤工」之名再次執起導演筒並挑戰執導長片。故事來自導演上部短片《Balancer》編劇橋本幸治的親身經歷，講述父親在消失13年後，突然現身卻只餘3個月命，三父子還來不及修補關係，便得開始籌辦後事。在告別式上，兩兄弟聽著父親為數不多的朋友，輪流說著與父親往來的故事，漸漸認識疏離的父親，慢慢填補那空白的13年。人氣男星高橋一生飾演弟弟幸治，聯同飾演大哥的齋藤工，與飾演父親的Lily Franky，一同共創苦澀又溫暖的家庭回憶。
