大三兒原名葉雲,1970年出生,在內蒙一間銅業公司工作,過著日復日的刻板、平淡生活,因而萌生去西藏旅行、一睹珠峰風采的念頭。由於先天的缺陷,身體短小,大三兒要去西藏的挑戰比常人更大。但他下定決心,甚至寫下遺書,終於在朋友協助下,踏上西藏之旅。擅長拍紀錄片的佟晟嘉表示當得知大三兒有這念頭,就打算不論他去得成與否都拍成紀錄片。最終歷時4年,由內蒙古赤峰到西藏布達拉宮,再到珠穆朗瑪峰大本營,行程跨越5000多公里,每天15小時的拍攝,佟晟嘉用鏡頭如實地紀錄大三兒此行的心路歷程。

“Mr. Big” Ye Yun is a 47-year-old man of short stature. He lives with his father and works at a copper company in Inner Mongolia. For the past decade, each day has been more or less the same for him but he does have one humble dream: Tibet. Because of his physical condition, traveling to Tibet would not be easy – and even risky – but he persists in the hope of doing something different in his mundane life.
