No one sees more of Hong Kong on a daily basis than a taxi driver, so perhaps it shouldn’t be surprising that it would be the ideal setting for this rare Hong Kong-set road movie. Shot entirely through the windshield of a taxi, Hong Kong-based Chinese director Yang Zhengfan’s second feature-length film examines the current state of the city and its people through the conversations of 13 sets of unseen passengers - including a stressed out bank employee, tourists from Mainland China, a student activist and a British expat. This is an enlightening road trip through Hong Kong unlike any other.
