| 法國女人來到陌生的城市香港。由於內地在文革後禁止土葬，於是來港推廣一種嶄新的屍體處理方法——水解屍體。相比起火葬，「水葬」更節省能源，產生的環境污染物也更少。鏡頭下的大都會陰森晦暗，海面上霓虹燈閃爍晃蕩，女人的計劃似乎進行得頗為順利，然而在不知不覺中，她的身體早已被另一個女魂佔據。她們素未謀面，一個中一個西，一個工廠女工一個商業女性，一個在陰間一個在陽世，現實卻把她們的命運繫在一起，最終在新界會合。
A French woman is coming to Hong Kong to sell a new method for disposing of dead bodies—alkaline hydrolysis, a disposal process more environmentfriendly than cremation. In this city of serene sea, suppressing sky, and saddening air, the French woman has her contract signed in one of the skyscrapers. Yet appalling mystery only unfolds as the monologue narrative brings us back to a small village in Guangdong province, where countless men and women gone missing out of thin air. And one of them, roaming in the New Territories, is determined to haunt this foreign lady.
