Synopsis
Joseph is a menacing alcoholic and an unemployed widower who is plagued by violence and anguish that is driving him to self-destruction. Having killed a dog in a fit of rage, Joseph is desperate to change his life and get out of his unpleasant past. By chance, he meets Hannah, a local charity shop worker who seems kind and respectable. Just when they become close friends, Joseph realizes that Hannah has a sadistic husband and conceals a dark secret which threatens to plunge him back into his former life. Depicting two bleak souls victimized by the dark side of their past, Director Considine seems to be pushing to their breaking point the characters whose faces they are forced to put on in order to survive the horrors of their everyday life.故事簡介
