朝夕相對的親人，我們真正懂得、真正親近嗎？有完整的家庭，我們就不是孤家寡人了嗎？父母前往熱帶海邊度假，讀中學的姐弟二人留在家中體驗獨立生活，等到聖誕假期再前往海邊和父母團聚。弟弟逃學惹怒老師，父母只好請來叔叔做臨時監護人，誰知父母搭乘的船突然失聯，兩人也沒了音訊，姐弟驚慌失措，幾近崩潰。而禍不單行，弟弟因無法承受壓力，酗酒倒在雪中，生命垂危，叔叔卻意外成為唯一適合的器官捐贈人，更引出上一代隱藏的感情糾葛。本應是一家其樂融融的聖誕旅行卻讓家庭分崩離析，每個人被迫開始各自人生的孤獨歷險，重新探索他們從未真正體驗的生死、親情、血緣以及信任。每位演員發揮無懈可擊，狗狗的演出更是亮點。

A husband and wife set sail across the ocean, leaving their two children, Anna and her younger brother Erik, to explore the freedom of being home alone. However, as Christmas approaches, they suddenly lose contact with their parents and start to panic. Under a lot of pressure, Erik falls down in the snow after drinking and suffers kidney failure. Their uncle, who is temporarily taking care of them, turns out to be the only viable kidney donor, which surprisingly reveals an unknown past affair. The film is an emotional adventure set in Prague, within the four walls of the children's flat, which challenges trust, responsibility and blood relations in the family unit. The boat sinks, and so does the family.
