Les Cigares du Pharaon is adapted from the Belgian comic artist Hergé’s 1934 serialized strip The Adventures of Tintin: Cigars of the Pharaoh. The blonde, kind-hearted, and adventurous reporter Tintin and his little white dog Milou (who always comes to Tintin’s rescue) meet the oddball Professor Siclone with a telltale papyrus on a cruise to Shanghai and decide to embark on an adventure to the tomb of the Pharaoh Kih-Oskh. The mysterious cigars and the sign of pharaoh lead Tintin to uncover an international drug-smuggling enterprise. But the funny identical twin policemen, Dupond and Dupont, mistake Tintin for the drug smuggler. After his escape to India, Tintin must confront the oddball-gone-crazy Professor, the madness-inducing poisonous arrows and a hypnotizing fakir in order to save an Indian prince.
