A brash and outrageous documentary giving a glimpse of the ass-kicking dyke scene of 1980s London. Told through interviews, vintage footage, photography and animation, Rebel Dykes tells the hitherto unheard story of the multi-racial community of dykes who discovered each other through their art, music, politics and sex, and created a vibrant underground scene amid ant-Thatcher rallies, BDSM clubs and AIDS protests. This extraordinary film captures these bold non-conformists who disrupted, inspired and lived to tell the tale.
