Set in summertime on the Côte d'Azur, "The Swimming Pool" is a drama of sexual jealousy and possessiveness. Jean-Paul and Marianne are an ideal couple, living happily in their villa in Saint-Tropez. One day, Harry, an old friend and record producer who was Marianne's lover before Jean-Paul, arrives for a visit, on the arm of his daughter, the incendiary Penelope. The former lover disturbs their quiet life. Tension rises, a wave of sexual tension, jealousy and sudden violence is unleashed.
