broadway cinematheque (bc), as an art house and one of the unique cinemas under Broadway Circuit, was founded in November 1996 and has since become the most stimulating cinema concept in Hong Kong. Located in Yau Ma Tei, a place with mixed Hong Kong cultural scenes, bc aims at exploring the world of movie, rediscovering the function of cinema as a place of culture. On average it screens hundreds of films from all over the world, with up to 10+ film festivals, retrospectives and film events a year.
