Eatnameamet – Our Silent Struggle reveals multiple colonial acts done by the State of Finland towards the Sámi people and reveals the government’s attitude towards the Sámi, and how all these unjust acts are part of a bigger question about the ownership of the land. The film explores questions stemming from the seemingly superficial appropriation of Sámi culture, which leads to how the fate of the entire people is decided. Their story is universal, since many indigenous people are involved in the same struggle around the world.
