23-year-old Miki lives in Tokyo. She is upset when her boyfriend Benny tells her that he will return to the Netherlands. She follows him afterwards. Pei-pei lives in Amsterdam and is having a difficult time communicating with her father about marriage and other plans of her life. Shirley lives in Hong Kong, her young son must undergo a very urgent and complicated heart surgery but she lacks the money. Hu links three different Asian lives and cultures skillfully and honestly in a melodious, successful and visually powerful way.
