An activist performer of satiric songs is arrested for performing a song that allegedly drove a sewage worker to suicide. Believing the case to be politically-motivated, the performer’s public defender faces professional witnesses, corrupt cops, a prosecutor who just wants to get through her case files, an indifferent judge and a judicial system that hands down criminal sentences like an assembly line.
