Among the organisations dedicated to presenting these restored classics to modern-day audience is the Nederlands Filmmuseum (now EYE Filmmuseum), with its 1995 workshop ‘Colours in Silent Film’. Speaker Dr. Fossati, a participating researcher of this workshop, has been studying early colour films over the last 20 years. In this talk she discusses the history and conservation of early colour films, and the changes in the EYE Filmmuseum’s practices in the digital age.
