Yoko
Yoko has been socially isolated for years. When she receives the news of her estranged father’s death, she is forced to return home with her cousin for the first time in 24 years, only to be left stranded on the highway rest stop alone. Without a mobile phone nor money, Yoko has to hitch rides to make it to her father’s funeral in time against all odds.
A journey of self-discovery and healing, this road movie directed by Kazuyoshi Kumakiri is a long-awaited second collaboration with Rinko Kikuchi.
