Synopsis
A small film with a big heart, Second Hand Wedding is a bittersweet dramatic comedy following a family as they plan for a daughter’s wedding. Mother of the bride, Jill, loves a second-hand bargain but Cheryl is not keen to have a second-hand wedding.

Jill is forced to confront the habits of a lifetime and concede that no bargain is worth her daughter's happiness. Father of the bride, Brian, quips that Cheryl's upcoming wedding will be the first time anyone in the Rose family has given something away.

About the Film and the Director
Second Hand Wedding is an intimate, endearing look at the relationships within and around a middle-class New Zealand family living in a very small community. The film was independently produced and shot mainly on the beautiful Kapiti Coast of New Zealand. It’s a story of family and friends and about how the changes in their lives that can so quickly divide can just as quickly bring them back together.

This is Director Paul Murphy's first feature film building on his work directing commercials and television dramas and his 30 years experience in the technical area of film production. He has been described as an “actor’s director” and the rich characters in the story gave him ample room to hone his talent.

故事簡介：
具深層寓意的小本電影，二手婚禮是一部笑中帶苦澀的喜劇，情節貫穿一家人為女兒籌備婚禮的過程。準岳母亞珍愛好搜獵二手精品，可是新娘子謝麗爾並不希望大好日子淪為二手婚禮。

亞珍不得不檢討一生人長期以來的習慣，醒悟對女兒的終身幸福不可以殺價還錢。一方面，新娘的爸爸布賴恩揶揄，這場婚禮將令每個家庭成員第一次有所付出……

導演與製作：
二手婚禮以溫馨親暱的角度，描繪一個生活於新西蘭小社區的中產家庭對內和對外關係。影片是獨立製作，主要取景於美麗的新西蘭卡皮蒂海岸。這是一個關於家人和朋友，和他們生命中一些變幻，怎樣能瞬間分化他們，但同時也可以使他們團結。

這是導演保羅‧慕菲累積三十年執導電視劇、廣告片及電影製作技術經驗的首部故事片。行內人稱他為一個擅於指導演員的導演，而二手婚禮片中豐富的人物角色，提供了更大的空間讓他大顯身手。
