Shunji Iwai's first feature film comes across an intricate and heart-wrenching modern romance on catharsis and acceptance of death. Young Hiroko writes a late letter to her fiance Itsuki, who died 2 years ago in a mountaineering fall, with an address she finds in his high school yearbook. The love letter accidentally goes to a girl of the same name who happened to be her fiance's first crush, followed by a series of coincidence playful and fateful as one in a Shakespearian play. This year is the 10th anniversary of LOVE LETTER since its release. We now call upon all the fans of this film to come and revisit it, refreshing your feeling of love in this special occasion.
