We may all leave our homes at some point in our lives, but co-directors Yan Yan Mak and Clement Cheng tell us with MERRY-GO-ROUND that we will eventually return to our roots. Commissioned by Hong Kong's premier charity organization to commemorate its 140th anniversary, MERRY GO ROUND follows three lost souls - a drug addict, a physician, and the son of an herbal shop owner - driven out of their homes. Learning about the history of the people they meet on their respective journeys, the three wanderers come to learn that there really is no place like home.
