影展常客洪尚秀的第16部長篇作品，繼之前與法國影后Isabelle Huppert來次韓法交流後，今次找來日本演技派演員加瀨亮合作，東洋痴情男阿森為真愛隻身來到韓國，流浪首爾街頭語言又不通，尋尋覓覓人生中的女人，在咖啡店老闆娘身上找到似曾相識的感覺，酒醉的背後還是想純粹地陷入另一張情網？人生中事與願違的愛情，比想像來得太多。洪尚秀擅長以故事和攝影捕捉男女情慾的起落，攜新作再赴威尼斯在地平線上再續前緣，又連續三年獲邀多倫多國際電影節，大師級的愛情論自成一格。

Hong Sang-soo’s 16th feature is his shortest yet, but it still encompasses the auteur’s signature visual cues and themes of unrequited love, miscommunication and slice-of-life inertia. Just back from a trip, Kwon (Seo Young-hwa) finds a packet of letters from Mori (Kase Ryo), a Japanese teacher who fell in love with her two years ago. The lovelorn Mori returned to Seoul to see her and documented his visit in the undated letters, which she reads in random order. His misadventures unfold in droll episodes of drinking (too much), talking (in halting English) and sitting around a cafe run by Young-sun (Hong regular Moon So-ri), who takes an immediate liking to Mori.
