天降橫禍，美籍亞裔青年亞當從美國回到家鄉馬尼拉，本欲挽回破裂的婚姻，誰知一落機便無端接到奪命追魂call，電話的另一端是恐怖分子，逼使亞當為其放炸彈進行恐怖襲擊，否則會殺掉他的母親和姊姊。亞當唯有依計行事，在Cavite這個罪惡之城穿梭行動，惜事與願遺，恐怖分子得寸進尺……
菲律賓鬼才導演Llana和Gamazon一鳴驚人之作，鏡頭由主角視點出發，令畫面更見震撼及充滿壓迫感，同時亦示範了緊絀資金下仍可拍出富社會性的精采作品，難怪美國獨立電影界一線看好。《來電險事》也要讓路。

The idea for Cavite sprang from
conversations, restricted to free cell phone minutes,
between two aspiring Filipino-American filmmakers and
best friends, Ian Gamazon and Neill Dela Llana. Upon landing
at the Manila airport, he discovers a cell phone and photographs
of his mother and sister hidden in his bag. When the phone
rings, the caller informs him that his mother and sister
have been kidnapped. The disembodied voice then coerces
Adam on a journey which will force him to experience a
world that might otherwise have been his own. He is fueled
by the will to save his family.
