After taking two lovers on a journey through Beijing in LOVERS ON THE ROAD, independent filmmaker Jessey Tsang brings that journey of discovery home to her native Ho Chung Village with her second feature film BIG BLUE LAKE. Lai-yee (Leila Tong) returns to Ho Chung after an attempt at a career in Mainland China ends in failure. As she deals with being home again after many years away, former classmate Lin-jin (Lawrence Chou) also comes back into her life. Together, they find old memories, a chance at love, and the mystical Big Blue Lake that will give them courage to start anew. |
