| 4年前hkaff的焦點導演舍蘭，是康城影展的常客，每次出征都幾乎是百發百中，今次《小亞細亞往事》再獲03年憑《遙遠》所得的評審團大獎，是其繼《三隻猴子》、《氣候》的第四個康城獎項。片中的Anatolia, 既有日出的意思，亦有涵指土耳其的含義。故事圍繞一晚到日出，三個警察帶着犯人尋找埋藏屍體的地方，穿山過省，一邊駕着坐駕一邊閒聊生活的過程，表面帶出通姦的惡果、灰暗的未來、下一代的痛苦、女性在社會中的邊緣位置等話題，實則也以小喻大，寄喻土耳其的狀況。舍蘭一貫攝人的影象，黑夜間只憑車頭燈光來劃破漆黑的寂夜，每格菲林都儼如Vermeer的畫作。 |

Two men confess to committing a murder, and now the final step to closing the case is finding the missing body. The search for that body sends a prosecutor, police officers, a doctor and the two murderers on a late-night trek through the darkness of the Anatolian steppe. This quiet, measured drama may appear to be as ambiguous as the darkness that fills the screen, but pay close attention to the small clues director Nuri Bilge Ceylan (THREE MONKEYS) reveals along the way.
