Looking to escape his father's failing business, restless Vishnu (Abhay Deol ) hits the road in director Dev Benegal's lyrical ROAD, MOVIE. Vishnu drives an old truck and a touring cinema across the desert but the journey comes with the unexpected. Three travelers - an old entertainer, a young runaway, and a beautiful Gypsy woman - become Vishnu's passengers, and the group runs afoul of corrupt police and an evil waterlord. But as always there's magic in the movies, with the touring cinema and its precious cargo sometimes making the difference between life and death for this motley band.
